VMZinc 120th Anniversary and Brewery Shaft, Nenthead

Here are my photos from the Vieille Montagne Zinc Mining Company 120th Anniversary event at Nenthead on Alston Moor.  Saturday was a series of lectures about VMZinc's role at Nenthead between 1896 and 1949 and the company since their departure from England.  On Sunday I descended the 328' (100m) Brewery Shaft at the bottom of which was a workshop, some pelton wheels and a water wheel.  Photos on Google at:
