Sunday 2/6/2012 - Rhosydd slate mine (and maybe CRTT)

Right..

The plan is to go and have a look at Rhosydd slate mine, but i had been asked if we could also do the CRTT on the same day.

so the plan is, the trip is Rhosydd slate mine, if there is enough interest, we could split into 2 groups, one lot doing the CRTT and one lot having a look  at Rhosydd..

MEETING -
The lakeside Cafe, Tanygrisiau, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, LL41 3TP - 9-30am for breakfast, leaving at 10am,

CRTT is a SRT trip involving various abseils, boat crossings, traverse's and other stuff.

Rhosydd slate mine is something i've only ever walked through after doing the CRTT so i'm not sure whats in there.

who's interested and what bit are you interested in doing?

Currently i would really like a look around Rhosydd, BUT, i will do the CRTT if there is interest and no one else who is going knows the way through.

so i will be on the trip, but dont yet know which bit i will be doing

i know my way round rhosydd and to croesor from there too .eastern workings are scary but fun .nice drumhouse in there also ...so im coming too x 1 .

Put 3 new military grade ropes (Kindly donated by Go-Below Underground Adventures)and a few new malions in all of the abseils in Croesor/Rhosydd for future through trips so when you do it use the new black ones, don't use the other sheite that's in there. All nice and safe .....for now!!

Fookin ell since November !!!!! they were proper fooked if ever ive seen em ...took some pictures of two of the ropes in there and should have brought some samples of them out which I could have sent to the BCA for testing  (only costs a few quid and the results are worth seeing for comical purposes)  :woohoo:

Looks like the CRTT is a non starter this time round, so I won't be coming.  I know that sounds a bit like throwing-the-rattle-out-of the-pram, but it isn't really.  I've done the Rhosydd walkabout, so there's nothing new for me on this one. Maybe next time there will be more takers.
