Control with Your mouse, and Enjoy! Wait till you spot a person, and then the sheer scale of it sinks in.
You want me to go down *there*? On a bloody *rope*?

14? Theres hundreds in base camp - then a line of about 20 at the top of the glacier heading up the first ice climb. (Or steepish snow walk!)

Was talking to Leo Holding about his trip up Everest about two years ago. His words - "its 'just' a long walk!"

Which hardly explains the number of people who died up there this year.... Think you're in the hands of the weather provided you've paid enough cash to have someone carry all your luggage and oxygen up there!

I ignored Base camp, and didn't even get as far as the top of the Glacier. It seems *far* more people do his than I thought.

I guess I have been looking at the wrong mountain.
Very impressed with you Doug for going anywhere near this place.
It most certainly does make Snowdon seem a bit tame.

its a big bloody tourist trip these days - if you pay enough you'll be 'taken' to the top and back. £25,000 upwards buys you a guaranteed ticket up and down i think.
