Visited with AndyJ (cpc)

Needed to go to Bernies so we decided to make a day of it, the plan was i would meet Andy at his house between 8.30am
and 9am, we would nip to ingleton, cut over the hills to Horton-in-Ribblesdale,
get kitted up and walk up to sell gill.

So, in useual fasion, i got to Andy's house at 10.10am, which means he's not
happy, as useual, we load his car up and set off to ingleton, i go into burnies
and get my self a new over and under suit, as i was running late earlier on, i
hadnt had time for breakfast, so i had to go and see hazel for a bite of one of
her huge bapps, if you ever go to ingleton and you want food, get to hazels cafe,
£4.50 for one of her huge baps, it's the size of a plate, comes with 3 eggs, half
a pig and a load of sausages.

Anyway, now fed and £80 lighter, off we went to Horton, calling at Ribblehead on
the way for me to snap a couple of pics of the viaduct, we get to horton, and get
kitted up, the great thing is, Horton is where CPC's club house is, Awesome,
proper changing rooms all heated, dry and clean, makes a change from getting
kitted up in a muddy carpark. all ready we walk up the pennine way.

Sell gill has two entrances, a wet route and a dry route, the dry route was
allready rigged, so we decided to have a look at the wet route, now it had rained
quite hard in the night and it was still raining on and off, Andy set about
rigging it, but no matter how he hung the ropes, he couldnt keep the rope out of
the waterfall, we had a look but decided against it, so out we came and over to
the dry route it was, quickly having to rig the first pitch before people started
to come back out, we got to the bottom of the second pitch before we bumped into
anyone, there was a groupe of 4, 2 of which were lerning SRT, one of which was
hung up on the 3rd pitch trying to get back out, we dumped our kit and went for a
wonder, leaving the others to sorth their selves out.

20 or so mins later the pitch was clear, so we rigged it and down we went, once
down we headed off down stream going through the old sump and as far as the duck
which i decided against, there was only 2 of us and it was raining, i didn't fancy
it. i grabbed a couple of pictures and we headed back out, getting back to the
surface at 6pm, and it was pitch black.

We walked back to the CPC club house past the fields full of weirwolf's, Andy kept
telling me they were sheep, but i could tell they wernt by the way their eyes
glowed in the dark, we got changed in their awesome, warm, dry and light changing
rooms then headed back to Andys where i had left my car.

all in all it was OK, sorry about the pics, most were done hand held with the
on-camera flash, it was far too wet to be messing with tripods

we've been down both, but i refuse to rig anything more than a Y hang and andy told me to piss off when i told him he'll have to rig both routes

I've never been shown how to rig anything more than a Y hang, so to be fair, i wouldnt be willing to let others use rigging i'm just guessing is up to the job.

i would rig whatever for my self, but when the person who's going to be using your rigging is at the bottom of a pitch hopeing you've rigged the top right, and cant check it before using it, i would need a bit more practice first.
