Can we cancel the Poachers Trip please - the Sledgehamma party are booked for the 9th Aug (the following Thurs) not this one.

Sorry for any inconvenience  :(

Ian

PS. We will have a guest on Thursday - coming from Wrexham, he is on the forum as "Badger" and his name is "Martin" - if he could be recieved and looked after I would be very grateful.   :)

If Badger comes down OHA for the first part to the bottom of the climb then I am happy to stay there with him or explore the other passageways a bit whilst others take Bella and Chris through the canals.  We can also listen to the screams and splashing from below!  I could also spend some time usefully making the sand crawl a bit easier.

Any of those will be fine John - he isn't inexperienced though  ;)

I am sure there will be plenty of people to help hoim down OHA to the base of the cliff.  If Captn Mike is there then he may have a ladder to help everyone up to the canals.  If Badger does not like the look of the ascent then I am sure there will be plenty of things to do.  I take it you have other plans - may be exploring that new sink or finding a way through the burried gate.

My daughter has ask if she can come again this week, no rehearsals this time so we will will give it a go again, as she has not used an electron ladder can we give her a rope for the entry ladder.

It would also be great if you could put a ladder up before the canals, is that possible Mike.

See you Thursday

Joel if you are coming I will try and remember to bring those hooks with me.

Excellent John O.  Sorry that you could not manage it last week.

I would also be much happier if Mike can hang an electron for the precipice.  I would also very much like to watch him climb the normal ropes to attach the ladder so I can see how it is done.

I'm coming, and if you could bring those hooks, it would be good. Cheers John :)

John, with the experience you've now got you might be the one thats sent up to hang the ladder for the 'newbies'! Its easier than it looks and you're becoming an 'old hand' now. How times change huu? It doesn't seem five minutes since I first met you in Maeshafn mine as a young whipper snatcher (relatively speaking!)

I could use another 60 litres of clean/dry oil if you're coming to the bridge. I'll have to put it on an IOU until i next see you though if thats ok? If theres no-one in chuck it under the back end of my Sankey trailer. I'm not desperate so no worries if you can't or are running late on the night etc. I'm not even back for another 9 days yet, and I still have 40lit of the last batch left. But i may be using the Landy for a trip up to Middlesbrough and some other longer distance caving trips over the next few weeks. So its worth building up my stocks a little :-)

Sounds exciting: see you all there at Cilcain, dressed for the party.

Yes, I can bring you another 60L UCO easy.  I can leave at your house on our way back to the Brit.  I suggest you blend with some of my normal fuel to provide the basic liquid engineering expected by a diesel engine and injector pump.  You can also use this for the starting fuel.

I am cautious about trying the precipice without any experienced members of UCET there in case I make a mess and have to be hauled out. I could spoil Bella's enthusiasm for cave and mine exploring by making a mess somewhere - and I nearly did in Nadolig!  I am sure I will be much more adventurous when I have completed Budgies course and feel confident at SRT.
