Can Anyone suggest where i can get a my Sankey Trailer Sand Blasted for Cheap? Don't mind doing it myself if anyones got access to the gear??

I want to respray it the same colour as my landy for using carrying all the gear on long haul caving trips when the landy itself is full of bodies.....

Its similar to this one except that the paint is a lot more flakey on mine.

Ta,

Tim

These guys were quite reasonable when I took a couple of spare wheels to get de rusted, they came back as new with a coat of primer on. Was a few years ago now so I've got no idea of prices etc etc http://www.coloradocorrosion.co.uk/index.html

Hi tim that trailer will be in the region of £300 to £400 to be blasted and a holding primer ,how ever if you have a empty garage you could hire a small sand blast unit and a small compressor a few bags of olivine and i could do it for you as i have my own spray unit and guns and could get the primers and mid coats buck she you would just have to buy the top coat and if you can get any club members who need gates blasting and primed or wheels or any metals then it can work out cheap, i will shop around for you, the above is what i do foe the aircraft carriers, mick

Hi Tim try SES in Greenfield next to the bridge with speed camera....only cost me £30 to

Nice one mick - i've already got a 3hp compressor and paint spraying gear - but not blasting gear. I'll price up blasting gear and and olivine. Unless i came up with anyone who could get it done somewhere cheap then thats what i was gonna do anyway - i've got a load of heavy plastic sheeting that i was thinking of stringing up in the garage to make a blasting booth.

How much olivine do you recon i'd need?

Hi Tim
J Reid Engineering ltd, factory road sandycroft, deeside.
Take the next turning left after the lights to macro, you go under a low railway bridge turn right and it is 100 yards up on the left.

cheers murf I'll nip up there and pick some up.

Also, don't go ordering UCET van graphics (you mentioned it the other week) before speaking to me.

a) I have a computer controlled vinyl cutter (although i've never used it to do multi layer (i.e. multi colour) stickers yet - but i should be able to work it out.

b) I want some myself so if it turns out too hard to make them myself then we could do a joint order to reduce costs?
