Trip One: SPAR MINE

Trip type: Another look at the water level and possible swim/dive to the incline?

Meet time: 18.30

Meet point: Royal Oak, Hendre(please ask permission if pub open)

Notes: Likely to be wet/muddy & dark

Trip Two: Murph`s Maeshafn scaffold frolics

Trip type: Scaffld work to stabilise the shaft ready for another push on with the dig

Meet time: 18.30

Meet point: Usual spot at Maeshafn

Notes: Midges will be out!!!

Trip Three: Mine haft in Pentre Halkyn

Trip type: Abseil trip into another one of Murph`s gems

Meet point: The cattle grid at Pentre Halkyn(one towards Rhes-y-cae)

Meet time: 18.30

Notes  This is an SRT trip!!!

Not done the spar mine yet but seen the pictures and heard stories from Alison and Vicki. I'm not ready for underground water stuff any deeper than I have done so far in poachers and Trefriw. John N

The Spar Mine is a dry trip, unless you like water in which case you can have a swim or just wade in it up to your neck, but the water is only in the new section and there is plenty to see with going in it.

Bloody hell - hard choice this one! I'm thinking that maybe Trip Three: Mine shaft in Pentre Halkyn might just clinch it for me.

I've already got 50m and rigging in the landy ready and waiting :-)

How big is the SRT in the mine shaft? Is it dry trip?

no idea but I wouldn't expect it to be over about 20-30m? dunno about it being wet or not eithet. we'll have to wait and see! exciting new places!
