Sat or Sun 23rd or 24th July

I am planning a walk up to Llichwedd Copper mine via the Watkin path on Snowdon on either of the above two days (Sat 23rd July or Sun 24th July).

It is a long haul up there and water is over boot depth at the entrance (bring spare boots or something)

Anyone who fancies the walk up and the trip inside is welcome to bob along ...

I haven't decided which day yet and will be guided by;

1) The weather
2) Others who want to come but can only make it on one of those two days
3) Other opportunites to go elsewhere that are offered and which are more appealing

I may cancel right up to the last minute if the weather is foul or other circumstances dictate ....

i could make sat i think - with sarah and josh (in his carrier) neither of whom would want to come into the mine but would be happy enough waiting outside.

couldn't make sunday with the family but could at a push do it on my own (if the weather was due to be much better etc).

Saturday is now looking good to me .... so you know ....

The Watkin path is easy but uphill (I guess you know that :woohoo:  ) but we do have to turn off from it, cross some scrub land (short but up with no gorse from memory) and pick up the miners track on the other side of a river (I think the crossing was easy enough but my memory is toffee)

i don't believe the mine is very big so the wait outside would not be too long :silly:
