Hello All,

 
Here are the details for our next Thursday night trip;

Whilst a few of us will be unable to make this one due to travelling to Belgium early hours of Friday morning, we have managed to ask Mark/Mike to lead a trip so there is still a meet whilst we are away caving. Don't worry, if you missed the circular a few months back for the Belgium trip away, there will be more away trips planned soon and we do have one up on the forum for Spain in August. Garreg Boeth (Non-SRT)

Suitable for novices, this is a wander along the geologically wonderful passage of Garreg Boeth. You will first see Crinoids (if you don’t rush past them), then interesting geological bands, then the sunken pit of “Stig of the dump”.  Beyond that are the sunken volcanoes of Atlantis. You will miss the underwater volcanoes unless the front person has the presence of mind to travel carefully through the water and not rake up a deluge of silt (and keep an eye open for them). Beyond all this you will be treated to just below waist deep water and the final passage to the ground dropped shaft at the end.

Meet Date : Thursday 20th April 2023

Meet Time : 6:30pm-6:45pm onwards

Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp, gloves.

we do not have permission to park inside the gate as this an obstruction on to the main road and is blind due to the trees and high hedge row on the field
