About time we had another get together i recon?

Anyone got and ideas, quiz, photo talk (like Dougs done in the past...loved these).  Or any other ideas?? People want to maybe have a few mins to 'present' something? Relive historic club trips/projects with some photos etc? Or maybe screen share some maps/plans research, theories?

A few people doing a stint each maybe... Looks like we'll have a few weeks to fill.

Be good for the old grey matter to get together.

Great idea ....

When you have the date and agenda sorted, let me know (with the zoom link) and I circulate everyone. We do have some returning members and new members who were not on the "schedule" for the last sessions.

Perhaps someone has some photographs of a trip and could do a trip report?

Regardless, do you think she would give some input

I've no idea. She is generally very busy but you could ask...
Or you could watch the RGS talk she gave here:

Hint: She was on Monday...

I have prepared a “Virtual Cave Role Play” for one of the upcoming Zoom meetings.

I suspect most folk won’t really know what a “Role-Play” is …..

UCET will be going to a new (virtual) cave that has been sealed for hundreds of years. Everyone who is present on Zoom will be in the party that goes in. There are no pictures, photographs, rules or instructions …. You will be given the “setting” (ie. at the cave entrance) then it is for the participants (you!) to decide what to do …… you can choose to do anything you want provided it is consistent with you actually being there in real-life.

The adventure will progress until you leave the cave.

Throughout the adventure you will encounter problems and difficulties that you must overcome.

Here is a snippet ….

The club is going on a caving trip to Smuggler’s Cove in the British Virgin Islands. The cave has been sealed by the authorities for over 100 years because there had been numerous reports of people being found dead within the cave with no apparent explanation. The official story is that it was being used by pirates across the Caribbean who would kill people who happened upon their loot. Local myth, however, preferred to rumour that there were much more sinister happenings underground ….

So, we now have two possible Zoom events;

1)   Doug’s virtual trip to climb Kilimanjaro
2)   UCET’s virtual Role-play to Smuggler’s Cove

Let’s get some more stuff lined up too ….

Won't be able to make it, working my backside off as usual Thursday.  Next Thursday off is the 4th February.
P.S. will the Glan-yr-Afon be reopening when all this sh*t is over?

I expect to be struck by lightening on the walk to the cave.

Ooooo role play. Do we have to wear clothes to participate ?
