Update : 30th Sept 2020

Welsh Assembly Government have announced further restrictions for the following areas;

Flintshire
Denbighshire
Conwy
Wrexham

The additional restrictions are;

1) You are not to meet "other people" in your own home
2) You may not cross county lines without a reasonable excuse

The second of those two restrictions directly affects the club's ability to organise trips as it does necessarily mean that some/all members of the club would have to cross county lines to go on the trip.

Therefore, until this restriction is lifted, the club will not be able to undertake any trips.

Sorry  :(

I have updated the COVID Status Board (First Post on this thread)

As of today, we can cross into any part of Wales (county borders can now be crossed) but we may not meet outside in groups of more than 4.

https://gov.wales/coronavirus-regulations-guidance#section-39237

Whoever wrote that for the Welsh Assembly obviously had a planet sized chip on their shoulder as it is written as a bollocking rather than a statement of fact.

Anyway, it means we still can't go on trips ....

 :whistle:

29/3/21 Update

I have been asked to update the "Status Board".

The relaxing of the rules (from Today for England and from Saturday for Wales) has not, unfortunately, allowed us to return to caving.

It appears (I use the word "appears" because the rules/guidelines are very convoluted and for a simple bod like me, unintelligible) that up to 6 people from two households can meet "outdoors".

Obviously, there has been no statesperson uttering the word "cave" so we are left to interpret that ourselves.

Since only "two households" can meet (regardless of whether a cave would be deemed "indoors" or "outdoors") we cannot, sadly, yet arrange trips.

It is expected that this will be reviewed on April 12th next.

Until then ...

29/3/21 Another update

It now appears that "Outdoor Activities" for up to 30 people will be considered on the 22nd April 2021

If that proves to be correct, we will re-commence caving thereafter.

I will be able to make that one, on leave from work then, providing I am allowed to cross over from England.  Hope to see you all then.
