Hi All

Here is this Thursday's trip details:

 
Location : Poachers

Meet Place : Cilcain Bridge Car park (see Google link)

Meet Date : Thursday 13th June 2019

Meet Time : 6.30pm â€" 6.45pm

Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp (Belt or harness if you want life lining down the electron ladder)


We will have some newbies out with us so let’s give them a warm welcome.

Me Belinda and Loz was looking at going to GB around 1pm if that's aloud. May turn up to poachers after that.

Ye spoke to Bel about it on Thursday. Just be careful of the volcano formations under the water.

Whilst your in their Steve go absolutely everywhere, you'll have plenty of time and still make it to poachers

A couple of years ago I and another member of WCG were taking a novice for a trip. The weather had been very wet and the river was really high and thundering past Poachers. We rigged the ladder, dropped down into dyers adit and headed for the drop at the end leading into the main passage. Only we didn't as that area was a swirling mass of water - never seen it like that again and am not sure how it could be like that without backing up the whole cave. We went to Xmas cave instead...

But be prepared in case you cannot get in - or take a snorkel.

Should be ... it's a mine, not a cave ... different mechanics (usually).
