Hi folks.

Suggestions for this week's trip please.

Trip updates.

Trip 1:  River Alyn Sinkholes for those that wish to have another look.

Meet Point: Cefn Bychan Rd, Pantymywyn. (Parking for leete caves/devils gorge. Do not drop to Bridge carpark lower down)
Meet time: 6:45 - 7PM

Trip No 2: Dougs Dig.

Meet point: Dougs Manor:
Meet time: 6:30pm onwards.

For those that can get out earlier, there is also the opportunity to assist murph at Bryn Celyn, near Leete Caravan Park, Rhydymywyn from 4:30pm onwards.

I scrambled down the new sink on Thursday just gone.  Nothing has changed; I think the "way on" is definitely to the right as you are looking at the cliff which would suggest the water is entering that chamber at the bottom of last year's sink within the cave.

I'll be dogging at dig's Doug this week  :silly:

i will be going to Bryn Celyn shaft at 4.0 pm to make some steps up the bank and down the othe sider to make access for easy for Sweetie and filling the cracks with expanding foam should be done by 6.30 pm if any one out early you can come and have look at the finished job. mick

Mick,  I'm not sure steps in the bank are such a good idea for a project that should be escaping the attention of passers by  :dry:

I'll do as I'm told. Where am I wanted? If all else fails I might go for a look at sink holes again (with the dog) and have a mooch along the river elsewhere. I've also got a few places I want to look at in the area that I suspect might be taking water, cilcain side. If anyone fancies a bit of a potter about looking at some of that then let me know.

I won't mind looking for some sinkholes.  What time are you thinking of meeting up and are we parking in Pantymwyn or at Loggerheads?

I don't think I will make it. With work in my way and my daughter and mother here for the week. Should make it to SRT Training if I have to drag them.

time change i will now be at BRYN CELYN shaft at 2.0 pm if any one wants to come out early,  have just had a thought how to clear some of the level below if we drill 2 holes on the incline knock in some 16 mm rebar  and  place a short scaff board between them fill it with rubble until level
stand on it repeat again and we will end up with a staircase up the incline and would probably have got rid of a couple of ton, that sounds good to me, mick

Greg. I think I may have to cancel my plans.  I better play it safe and give it a negative for now. Doug's is still on though and Murphy's going out earlier too and I'm.sure he'd make great use of an extra body if you're available.
