Righto, thanks fella's. Do you have a rough idea of what time we'll be coming out of the mine?
you will be several hours, the place is HUGE, and even with several hours wondering about you will only see a small section of it.

depending on which route you take, the trip is for the most part dry and fairly clean. if you've not dont slate before, the only advice i can offer is to watch what you are doing on the scree slopes/spoil tips, they are loose, take care you dont knock a load of stuff down on the person below, and watch you dont fall/slip, it would be like slipping onto broken glass, some bits are as sharp as razor blades.

you should enjoy it though.

Cheers Dan.

What sort of camera settings are a good starting point in a skate mine?

That depends on the camera and what sort of shot you're after.. I find f7.1 ISO400 and around 4 second exposures to be a good starting point with my kit..

Great trip, such an amazing place. Looking forward to going back here to explore some more. Thank you to John for arranging the trip. Good to meet you and the lads from the canoe club.

Here's a few pics.

Thanks Tim, I didn't take that many pics underground to be honest, but looking forward to going back to see more of the place and practice some more photography.
