Well at least if you fall over after getting slaughtered, we'll only have to carry you 98.5m back to the hut then  :S
I think that depends on which way he falls. You might have to carry him 101.5m...  :silly:
Then surely he would be the pub's responsibility if that was to happen
That's a very good point...
You could argue on that basis that unless he fell through the gate of the Croydon, he's the Highway Authority's problem...
Here in Wales they would use him as traffic calming; We call speed bumps "sleeping postmen" in these parts (or is it "sleeping policemen"? I can never remember   )

Can we assume the unobserved world functions the same as the observed world?

The Dinas silica mines are...... I guess, if you've not seen them then you might want to, but the bits of machinery are few & far between. It's the kind of place you'll find iPhone explorers, even dog-walkers in. There's a kind of a through trip in there, that is to say a walk-through trip, and this can be arranged to go up the waterfall gorge if anyone fancies getting wet.

Trying to think what else is in the area, for the silica mines - certainly at the rate most UCET trips go - won't take long. Garth iron mine is not far away, with (Andy Farrow will NEVER forgive me for not mentioning this first time around!) a place for an epic SRT drop for which 60m rope is almost certainly inadequate.

Also in the area are numerous small coal levels which go to bad air / roof collapses after a few hundred yards.

Oh and some weird things called caves. Don't know what they are.

Oh, also, Just up the road from Ystrad Einon is Bwlch Glas - the place with the lift cages and a forbidding sense of doom - also Fron Goch. These two won't look that far from Dinas but last time I did it, it took AGES by road.

I'll give this one a miss as it is a long way down to South Wales, especially as I finish work at 6am that Saturday morning.  I will be on the Cwmorthin trip on Sunday 17th March then and I also have the following Thursday the 21st off.
