Did you not know that we have now given up slavery in the UK I was simply taking my break.[/quote]

What makes you think slavery has been abolished in the UK ?

I'm a little upset by Ian's comment above. Let me outline what I contributed to the day:

1. Fitted back and side's to the gazebo which was also supplied by me.
2. I was one of the few UCET members to actually go through the cave.
3. Carried a load of stuff from the church.
4. While some of the more amateur members of the team were left demonstrating the very basic skills required for caving such as srt and going in a cave, I was demonstrating the more advanced skills required such as drinking and "round buying etiquette"

That's a very good point indeed ;)

I'm actually thinking of hosting a round buying etiquette course as I've noticed a few members of the club are a bit rusty

You missed sarah for the supply of cake (quite importantly)

On a serious note - massive thanks to everyone for helping, which all started last week getting the bloody cave. Then Friday working out the new arrangement and setting the basic scaff up at pantymwyn, All day for the show itself. Then the same again today. Not thrilled at having to empty the trailer out again to hose it all off inside before returning it on wednesday but its been 100% worth it. Spoke to a number of landowners over the last few days and plenty of potential new members. And more to the point its raised our profile in the local area massively.

I really can't thank everyone enough!

It terms of gear returning....

Sweetie - will bring your gazebo on Thursday night (glan)
Murph - your two white tables will store them until you're good and ready.
Mike - got that other ladder here (with the sharp wire strand), a wire spreader and and i think your srt kit might be in the landy too?

If theres anything else I've missed, don't worry - I'll find it tomorrow when i empty and sort everything out :-)

I've not opened the donation box from today yet - on Saturday we (i!) forgot to put a box out but people did donate and murf has taken it for 'safe keeping'. It wasn't much (probably because there was no donations box)  i think he said there was about £11 or £12 quid or something like that.

Murf,

Regardless of you not being at the show - you DID win a commendation for best scarecrow and I have the certificate for the club minutes.

I also believe a photo was taken and I hope to see it on here soon.

I accept your apology.

Couple of pics from my phone. Other pics of 'Murf' and his commendation are on my other camera. I can't upload video's from my phone onto here but they have been posted on facebook (will add links to video's tomorrow)

It was a fantastic show and our stand looked pretty impressive indeed. Will bring my spare big TV for the next one.

a couple more - one when i got the trailer back home - and one from the pantymwyn show.

Ally tower - with 4x outriggers - with a rope/ladder off each side (i.e. 4x the capacity). Large TV.

2x ladders and 2x srt ropes - gives option of races.

also i have a small (i.e. handy to transport setup) PA system - i did consider bringing it for these shows. Could do a 'talked' through demo of a rescue etc.
