Could we get a cow pot to county trip permit?
The trees have ears, the hills have eyes. Trust no one... but the sheep.

oh, what fresh hell is this?

You chose to live in Mordor. It's not as far for the rest of us ;-) only an hour and a bit for us :-)

i'm easy - micks suggestion sounds good for one day or the other

and toms cow pot to county for the other ?

I haven't a fookin scooby about leading either though - but i don't mind doing rigging / de-rigging as required. lol

hi - appologies for the delay - but been busy :)

hear is how the trip planning stands :

we have accommodation booked @ bullpot farm , casterton fell - 10 people  for 2 nights - Friday / Saturday - a great caving hut - but thee closest pub = 3 miles away - so prob best to bring beer

we have a permit for Lancaster hole - Saturday 12th - which opens up virtually the entire easegill system to us - the best choices are through trips to wretched rabbit - an arduous trip or county pot easier - but needs some pre-rigging ]- the problem is navigation - at the moment it seems that only tom is fit to lead any trip beyond a simple wander - though I am working on hiring a " guest navigator "

for sunday - I had planned a kingsdale throught trip either swinsto or simpson -for the simple reason - they are epic multi pitch abseils - BUT exiting is only a 5m prussic up one pitch then a easy walk out .

but other ideas are welcome - if others are agreeable I can request a boxhead / LJ permit for smurf

and there are hundreds of other permit free options and we can try for other permits for sunday

I say that unless we are applying for permits - leave the exact sunday plan till sat night - so we know the weather - cos if the weather is fine - the problem is getting everyone to agree to a trip that suits their expectations and abilities NOT a limited choice of caves

that's it so far - any questions I have not addressed or ideas - sound off

Hi

I am tempted by this, I am to late to join? but again like Vicky I don't want to hold anyone back and I would need at least one SRT practice session before we went as I haven't done any in ages.

John.
