17th - 19th August has been for ages at request of people etc - i'm not gonna have to move it AGAIN am i??????????

i ain't moving it don't worry. Its the only weekend free for me between now and the end of october (and we'll have a new baby by then so weekends away will be a rarity after that!)

plus the accom. is booked now!

take a wet suit if you are doing the sumps in swildons,(highly recommended)  :whistle:  :whistle: you'll enjoy it

Wetsuits are for tarts  :evil:

Fleece undersuits will be fine, you're not in the water long enough to worry about a bit of cold...

 i know these lads personally les and EVEERYONE of them are TARTS without exception

I got to St Cuthbert's second sump with just an undersuit  :P

To be fair, wetsuits only really work if you stay in the water. For something short like Swildon's Sump 1, you will be dry(ish) before you get in the water and as soon as you stand up the other side the cold water will run down the inside of your wetsuit with a cold shock  :ohmy: In a fleece you just get the cold shock a bit quicker, but the fleece will drain and warm just as quickly once you get out the other side.  ;)

A wetsuit is too hot and restrictive for most Mendip caving. I won't be wearing one...
