Yes, that is one of the things that strikes me as I begin exploring.  Each cave and mine is so very different - none the same at all - even though they are geographically quite close to each other.

The other thing that has impressed me is just how agile and confident you guys are. I feel I need a lot more practice just repeating all the things I have done already.  At first there is so much to take in in terms of the shape of the holes themselves and their history and the formations, and then how to actually get through the course.

It was inside a rock that was part of an area of fallen deads. I recognised the rock as probably containing galena and knowing of the enthusiasm of several of the group members and believing they would enjoy their first experience of real galena "in situ", I smashed the rock open on the other fallens deads and it broke (as expected) into many pieces revealing plenty of small sized pieces of galena

If you want to argue I took "tools" in to the mine for the purpose of extracting minerals (ie. my hands) I will argue it was laying on the floor.
