It is near Bryn Rhyd Yr Arian between Henllan and Llanfair TH. It isn't a secret as the adit is open but I do not know who the landowner is otherwise I would ask.

If anyone really wants to go I will put the grid ref (and directions) in the private area.

I also guess anyone could remove the stacked deads but I expect the passages beyond will be dead (which is why they were usually stacked)

;)

Chuck us some Grid references, I think Turbo is looking for something new, as am I.

You can see a waterfall on the O/S map - it is near there but before it. Follow the marked footpath along the river (might be a bridleway actually) and you will see (near the co-ords) a stream and field boundary at 90 degrees - walk UP that - the adit is along there and is not obvious until you have practically arrived.

Water at the entrance was just over wellie depth when I was there so I lowered it a bit.

Good luck

So this is Ian's Adit?

'Fraid not  :(

It's quite a long "adit",in fact,it is actually a mine. It certainly isn't a trial and there is plenty of "activity" in there.

I seem to remember discovering it's actual name but a quick look on ME and google failed to find it .... it will defo have a proper name though.
