hi this :

http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/edelrid-perfect-10mm-50m-rope-p194190/?utm_source=SilverpopMailing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=13_03_13-Week-Only-Deal%20remainder&utm_content=&spMailingID=5774121&spUserID=MjM2ODY1NjUyS0&spJobID=68546732&spReportId=Njg1NDY3MzIS1

offer has come through my email

a 50m single rope for just £55 quid

i am going to do some digging - as i cannot find a knotability rating - which is important for cowtails

but is anyone interested in a group buy ?

FWI - inglesport and most other outdoor shops are selling pre-made cowtail sets for around 4.80 / 5.50 mark

for 5.50 - you will get 10m insted of 2.5 - so can make a set + 3 replacements

if kept in the dark and away from heat - the stuff has a max shelf life of 10 years

plus at this price - you can replace ` just because someone looked at it wrong ` :P

ideally - i would hope to get a few people to commit to take 10m each of my hands for 5.50 -i would cut and deliver it to a UCET meat as my comunity service

anyone interested ???

like i say - i will need to get some info - and prefereably hold a peice to check its handling

and of course the offer is 7 days only

but this is just ` testing the waters ` - as i cannot use a full 50m by my self

but if enough people will pledge to buy sections - it could be a good deal for all

Yes, I would join this offer.  If Mike L has grabbed at it then it must be good!

I have just bought a cowstail with loops in it for £18.00, without any metal parts.
I now have most of the parts for two sets of SRT gear for Bella and me.  Still need the elastic loops and one cowstail, and the connection stirrup for one ascender.

Look at his user name...  :P

Despite having issues with heights, I do fancy a go. There's a non-zero chance I'd do a Buddah though... ;-) Has he actually managed to do one of these yet Dan?

i'm not sure mate, he may of. It's strange, as if there is a sketchy climb, or we find our self at the bottom of a unknown condition in-situe rope, it's normally sean who we send to check it out as he is least worried about falling.

sean taylor

Why dan!!! i thought this was dead and buried
