Directions
Park in Rachub at the playground and follow the road uphill and round to High street. Head uphill here and take a right at the top of the road into a field, head up over the hill in front of you, the mine is there.

Adit one is flooded to around 6 inches from the enterance, does not appear to get any higher.

Description
Adit one. A short mostly featurless slate adit acessed via an open stope and a crawling entrance with a dead sheep located a short distance inside. The adit quickly opens up to a 7ft by 7ft adit which runs for about 150m at which point it goes blind. At the end are 2 6 inch rusty pipes stood vertically. Just before the end is a small chamber. There is also a geocache by here.


Unexplored Passages
Another open stope is visible on aerial photographs. there may be another adit there.
a 3rd adit may have been located in a nearby quarried area.

This is the nearest adit to where I live.  There are two others near by but not of any interest.
