Myself, Vikki, Boydy & Bear met up in Meliden.  Vikki had gone there during the day to locate the entrance (cheers Vik) so she showed us the way.  we climbed up the rock and into the entrance then through a tight squeeze into a chamber.  Inside is like a rabbit warren with passages off everywhere, within minutes I'd tw@tted my knee on a sharp rock and it began p155ing out blood.  The mine didn't go very far and was pretty featureless apart from the odd diamond encrusted thong and pair of skidmarked trolleys.  We soon made our way back out.  I'd ditched my tripod on the way in and got Vikki to carry my camera gear for most of the trip which was a result!

Only took a couple of pics:

Well Ian uploads photos of his toe  ;)

We then jumped into Vikki's car and went to Fish Mine.  Not a bad little mine.  It's a bit of a back breaker though as you are stooped for the duration.  We went as far as the flooded bit where Bear "bridged" the flood and Vikki went for a swim in the water (boydy and I stayed on dry land and had an amusing discussion about why it's called Fish Mine)

On a serious note, Vikki believes there is a false floor under the water so please bear this in mind for future trips.

(apologies if this trip report should be in the private section)

Maybe a *bright* light shone under the water could, shed some light, (crap pun intended) on that.

By Bright I mean a few thousand Lumens. I remember the water not being particularly clear... but it was 15+ years ago I was in there.
You want me to go down *there*? On a bloody *rope*?

The "Rabbit warren" goes up and down as well as "In" .... did you adventure in 3D ? Or did you just explore the obvious level ?

 :)

Ian: Boydy & Bear went for a climb about the higher and lower bits.  I was nursing my war wound.

Iestyn: You have issues
