Howdy Doody,

Here are the details for our next Thursday night trip (there are two);

TRIP #1 â€" SRT Training
The current SRT training course is moving underground to the Spar mine this coming Thursday â€" if you are on the course, be sure to turn up. If you are looking for a refresher to bring yourself back up to speed (members only pls) then now is also a great time!

TRIP #2 â€" Spar Mine Adventure
For those who fancy a mooch, or to watch the brave and gallant SRTers, there will be an opportunity to wander around the mine all the way to the water at the bottom and the “bridge” that harbours the lost and ancient Balrog. If you find him, you have to bang your staff hard on the ground and bellow “You shall not pass!” Only then shall you ascend to the higher ethereal planes of Spardinium.

Location : Spar Mine
Meet Place : Car Park opposite the Oak Inn
Meet Date : Thursday 11th Aug 2022
Meet Time : 6:30pm-6:45pm onwards
Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp, gloves, (SRT kit if you want to fumble on the ropes).

Hi. Just joined. New starter. Bit scared of ladders and heights. I'm free Thursday. So would like to get into it. D.

Addendum: My trade union has decided that we are going to have the 8th September off so I will be available for a trip then!

I'm aiming to get there for 17:30, kitted up and headed in, last time when we went in at 18:00-18:15 we didn't quite get the rigging done as practice in time for when the SRTers joined, will someone be there to meet with equipment, I'll help carry up / in ropes, malions, bieners etc
