UCET Weekend Trip Advisor â€" Sunday 7th Nov 2021

Howdy Doody,

This Sunday trip is for the Cwmorthin Slate Mine (Quarry)

This requires you to be fully competent with SRT and to be physically fit. There “MAY” be a second non-SRT trip which will be suitable for novices PROVIDED we have a leader also coming. The SRT trip is for members only.

You will be abseiling down multiple pitches and ascending at least one. There are chambers to traverse around (SRT), bridges to cross (SRT) and more. The novice non-SRT trip (if it goes ahead) will be bimbling around a circuit of the main workings

Requirements : Wellies, Caving suit, full SRT kit (not required if the non-SRT trip goes ahead), helmet, lamp, gloves

There are required additions to your SRT kit for this trip of a tandem speed pulley and a spare steel karabiner.
