IMPORTANT UPDATE ON ALYN SINKHOLE.

I have had a call from the ranger of loggerheads this afternoon and unfortunately he cannot guarantee we will have access to the gated sinkhole as he had to run it past the Bat Conservation group and NRW due to the sensitivity of the area. On Monday, he did not envisige this been any problem as the weather has been mild and we are on the back end of bat season. To enter the gated one, we will need a licence which takes time but the ranger is hopeful he can get an emergency access licence but this cannot be guaranteed.
The ranger does apologise for this inconvenience and he is as frustrated by the loopholes as us but it is not worth the risk for him or us by-passing the bat people or NRW.
Both the ranger and Denbighshire Countryside services/environment dept. are very grateful for our assistance and whilst we may not get access to the gated sinkhole, we have permission to look inside the barriered area of the new sinkhole as it has dropped again slighty since Monday (rangers words) and he is very grateful of any light we can shed on the subject.

Please be patient on this one folks, the ranger is trying his hardest with the relevant groups and parties he needs to deal with.
You're never late with a V8, sadly I do not own a V8!
