Hi folks,

There will be two trips this week, both working trips.

TRIP No. 1: Garreg Boeth.

MEET TIME: 6:30pm.  Mick Murphy will be there from      1pm(ish) so if you have time available, you are welcome to help him as soon as you can get there.

MEET POINT: On the main A541 Mold to Denbigh road in Hendre. Parking along roadside near the cottages closest to the Oak pub.  Please be considerate when parking and avoid parking in front of peoples houses and do not block/restrict access to any driveways.

We need as much help as is physically available to secure the new entrance shaft to avoid loosing the entrance again due to collapse.

Standard caving kit for this one (non srt).

TRIP No. 2: Doug's Dig.

MEET TIME: 6:30pm

MEET POINT: Doug's house.

As discussed in pub last week, Doug is confident of been able to break through and would like to dig from the shaft as well as in the mine.

You will need standard caving gear (non srt) and possibly a snorkel if you are going in the mine and are short on stature.

These trips are also open to non-members so you are welcome to experience the effort involved into securing new ground.

If you do not know where Doug's house is, can I please ask that you assist at Garreg Boeth.

Regards,
Steve.

Hi All
Did not know Douges dig was on for this Thursday, so to not let people down eg if the numbers
for GB are not up to 6 volenteers by 9.0pm on Wednesday 23rd then the meet will be cancelled and any of those
who were for GB can carry on to Dougs so keep you eyes on the GB site and if you do not see the numbers up to 6 then head for Dougs on Wed, Mick

Mick you utter nightmare .....

You posted GB as a "life & death" situation and called for instant an immediate action lest the whole lot be lost in the depths of despair .....  You also asked for it to be circulated which, because we are excellent subjects of the club of which you are honorary president (not to mention founder) we did

History, circumstance and experience has taught us all that people (more often than not) make no advance commitment to trips. They prefer to leave their attendance "open" giving them the option to turn up or not at the last minute (to allow for personal circumstances such as the elusive opportunity for a quick shag - some members have more experience with this than others   )

Such has been the frustration in "pinning people down" that at least one of our former trip organisers resigned because of it.

In short (and at length) we (the minions) have gone to great lengths to facilitate your earnest plea knowing full well that we won't know how many people will (or will not) turn up on the night. We have said our prayers and asked the Lord for a minimum of six but his silence has deafened us.

In simple terms, there is no way to know whether six people will turn up or not until they do or do not.

Apologies. I am unlikely to be out at all tonight. Battling to shift the dreaded lurgy (got to love the children for bringing it home) and got to much to sort for next week.
