Hi peeps,

Here is this Thursday nights trip.

Trip: Fish Mine & Meliden Caves

Trip Type: General mooch exploring both upper and lower levels of the Fish Mine in Bishops Wood, Meliden, and also if we have time explore Meliden caves which are nearby.

Meet Time: 6:30pm

Meet Point: Layby next to Thorncliffe Building Supplies, Meliden

Why don't you join us pops?  I'm sure you can have a week off HDL.  I've been caving for over 5 years now, and to the best of my knowledge, only ever been underground with you twice (both at HDL)

Except for Doug who was forced to inflate a boat lying in the mine all went well

On the bottom path heading towards Meliden from the Fish Mine was another adit (adjacent to some renovated stables). The entrance was at least waist deep in water but Doug had a looksey and we could see an adit entrance further into the rift.

Anyone know what this mine is? Is it connected to Fish Mine somehow?
