As I'm still recovering from knee surgery I thought that a few ladders might help so took my daughter down the spa mine on Sunday.
Couple of pics just about show the water level!
The pub now has gates across. It was closed when we arrived but a call to the owner sorted it it. He was happy to let us park.
All pics taken with my Iphone.

Evidence of Neanderthal man!

Here you can just make out the water level for future reference

I've just got back from showing a friend and her son Spar mine (with Ian) and the water has risen alot since the photos above.
Unfortunatly I didnt think to get my camera out and take a pic, but the water level is now about 2 feet from floor level (maybe 3 feet).

the 3 ladders you go down, where was the watter in relation to the bottom ladder?

Tony Adams

A bit off, the water was about a foot from floor level at the old bridge hole, there was alot of surface water, none deeper than 6 inch.
