Hi Everyone, thought i'd sign up at John's suggestion (nice big grease powered 101 you got there)

I've been underground exploring for years but never with ropes or more than balls deep in water. Decided its time to take things up a notch or two, my background is Urban exploring, mostly drains/culverts and disused mines. I've done a few of the slate mines in Wales and fluorspar mines locally.

I hail from Yorkshire and bring my fellow partners in underground adventures who also like real ale and getting muddy underground, whilst seeking out the divine cob (they are from Derbyshire)

I'll be getting myself a lid & harness soon. :)

Was great to meet you all yesterday.  As I said yesterday, I'm UCET's newest member and they are a great bunch.  The knowledge bank is a really useful tool in deciding which trips to do next (I only do trips which don't involve SRT at the moment but I'm hoping to deal with my fear of ropes soon)  :)

I am terrified of heights, and I can SRT. If I can do it, anyone physically capable of getting up a rope can too.
You want me to go down *there*? On a bloody *rope*?

It was a great day yesterday and good to meet you all.

Thanks for the kind comments about the yellow truck.  It seems to be thart people either very much like it or totally dislike it.

Good to have another caver who also likes real ale - and the White Horse Cilcain has an excellent guest ale most of the time.
