Hello everyone, I am Paul and I am new to the world of caves and mines, I have done some nice drains and culverts in the past but only three mines to date including Hendre and Cwmorthin, I got the interest after attending a newbie solid fuel mine explore that was organised by Nwex forums and ever since I have been hankering to get back underground.

I am 48 years old, keen photographer, getting into a bit of video too after buying a kodak playsport, becomming fascinated by super bright torches and battery life, I am definately a boy, I shoot Nikon and am ofcourse Handsome.

Hello to everyone :)

Hi Paul,

Welcome to the site and delve into anything you want ;)

Hope you can get out with us .... we do have a couple of keen (and very good) photograhers in the club and there are always many opportunities to take some good shots.

There are also weekend trips as well as Thursday evening - there is one back to Cwmorthin in May - keep an eye on the trips and you are welcome to come along.

You are, of course, also welcome to join

:)

Thanks for the warm welcome Mike and Ian, I can see that cavers united is a friendly place and I appreciate the info about  the meetings etc, I am going to have a good look around the forum and get myself even more embroiled in caves and mines.

Hi Paul,
I am also relatively new to exploring caves and mines, and have learned a tremendous amount having joined UCET. You don't say where you are located.  We (Bella and I) are near Bangor. We would like to meet other explorers for weekend trips if you are around.
