Nearest Postcode : CH7 5NJ

Notes : One of North Wales’ finest examples of a glacial cave. An easier and less testing adventure than its big brother, Ogof Hesp Alyn. You will be treated to a galaxy of treats (well, actually just a couple). The premiere formation known as the “Big Boss” is here together with a rare, glacial passageway known as an isosceles passage. Add to that incomprehensible layers of silt of the world above gone by (of many eons) and you are making for a great trip.  If time permits, there may be a trip down to the lower level and if time further permits and the water is absent at the internal waterfall, we may venture up above the waterfall …

If you keep the water clear, you may find some of the legendary cave fish that live down there too!

Suitable for novices.

You WILL get wet AND you will be covered in cave silt syrup.

If you do fancy coming, please could you let us know by posting to UCET forum (link above). No worries if you don’t know.

Thanks !

See you soon…..

:)

Ian

Ooh my first trip, how exciting....

Just a quick question on kit...what should I wear for overalls as I dDon't have any - are outdoor waterproofs ok. Or do I need to get something suitable?

I have a pretty old climbing helmet (Ecrin Rock) will that be OK?

Old clothes and wellies if you have them. Waterproofs won't help much anyway, you may as well just accept you'll get soaked through rather than ruining them :-)

Someone should be able to bring a club helmet and light for you.
The trees have ears, the hills have eyes. Trust no one... but the sheep.
