I have spoken to Gethin and he says there is a load of loose rock at the top of the shaft so the area is best avoided at present - just exit via the cathedral gate. I don't know what Miles & Co. are planning to do about this - they may try and clear it from the top or maybe just wait and see if nature fixes the problem...

I'll update the CAL site sometime tomorrow to let people know.
