Hello!

If anyone is going to CRTT soon, could you please take a measurement of the first zip line over the lake and let me know the length from the bolts on one side to the bots on the other. Believe it’s back on rope again and it needs a bit of work. I usually pop over with Speedy et al on a maintenance trip every few years and a trip is well overdue.

I don’t expect you to take a tape measure, string measurement is fine and then measure once home. If you can send me a PM that would be perfect.

Thanks! Xx

Yeahhh, I believe there’s been multiple trips over the past month.

It’s ok though, don’t think anything will happen till later in the year.

Stainless steel cable would be nice

And a back-up on the last (new) zipwire before the canoe abseil would also be nice. Nothing like shockloading anchors in dodgy slate

I just need that pesky measurement, the rest will just happen :)

Don’t really want to carry about much more stainless steel cable than is required. Believe the last wire over the lake was recycled lift cable, which was fine as it kept the zipline going for a while, albeit not ideal.

question, if you planned a pull through trip and there were no boats and could not swim can you get out by any other route, mick

Basically no. unless you reverse the zip lines and prussic up the pitches.

Which is why we always carry a boat with us, although we've never needed to use it...
