I'm available for possible Mendips Weekends for either Sept 3rd and Sept 17th.
Can anyone else do those weekends. Can we make it a go-er?
I'm in. As long as you keep off the farmhouse
I'm interested. I have a long weekend Friday 1st to Monday 4th of September so I will be able to make it then.
I am at my nephews wedding so the latter date would suit me
Should be ok for either weekend :)
Come on peeps sort yourself out
Don't forget this year's Hidden Earth is in Churchill, Somerset this year and it takes place over the weekend of 29 September to 1 October. As it is a long way down to Somerset I do not fancy making the trip down there twice in a fortnight, especially as I only have a "normal" weekend over the 16th and 17th of September and it will not be worthwhile making the trip down there just for one night. I am still able to make it for the other proposed dates which is the first weekend in September. Tickets for Hidden Earth are not on sale yet, just checked on the website.
Can't do first weekend 2-3 Sept any longer, off to Nenthead.
I can come up to Nenthead that weekend. The weekend after is the Nenthead Mines Heritage weekend which I will be attending.
It's not a UCET trip to Nenthead.
working on the 17th :-(
working on the 17th :-(
Did I hear you say working. Are you sure
well - offshore :-D xx
The next time I will be able to make it along will be Thursday the 24th of this month for one of our regular meets. Don't know what is planned for then but I will be in the Glan later that evening anyway.
9th September is better for me but should be able to do the 17th
17th for me.... :silly: :silly:
17th :cheer:
Won't be able to make it for September 17th. Too far to travel just for one night, especially as I do not finish work until 06:00 on the Saturday morning. I will see you a week on Thursday for one of our regular meets and I will be going to Hidden Earth at the end of September.
17th for me
Boydy, get on it. Is the hut available for the weekend of 17th?
Will be heading down for Hidden Earth a week or two later and so won't be able to make it.
Tom
Will text Les tomorrow (Thursday) and book 10 bunks to be on safe side
Are you thinking of doing Priddy Green Sink!?!
Wouldn't mind. And then the round trip though the sump and double trouble
I think it's a 40 metre rope for the pull through.
It's a fantastic trip if a little pokey! ;)

You coming as well Doug?
I won't be able to make it down to Mendip this weekend, too far to go for just one night. I will be available for trips on Thursday the 28th September and 5th October.
You coming as well Doug?
Yeh suppose so.
Cool B)
Thanks to all who went on the trip - a good weekend all round.
Doug, Rob, Boydy, Eddy, Guy, Shan, Mike, Tony, Ade
Nobody died then... :-)
Where did you get to?
A few went to GB on the Saturday whilst some attempted Priddy (not much success - bit of a squeeze even for Richard) and then to sump 1 in Swildons for all of us on Sunday.
Good caves though and plenty of formations to see.
Great weekend everyone!!!!! Big thanks to ade and Shan for that
Monmouth drive there and back.
Richard has done Priddy green? Surely he could have told you beforehand that it's snug... ;-)
Tom

Yes great weekend, sorry if I was a bit mouthy due to alcaholic intake.
I would have loved to have been there but it was not worthwhile driving all the way down to Somerset from Preston just for one night. I am off work next week and the week after so I should be able to see you on your Thursday night meets. I hope to do a trip one week and have a social night in the Glan the other. As for Hidden Earth I am still thinking of giving it a miss this year, will make that next year which will either be Leek or Burnley, Les should some idea of the venue for 2018. I am also thinking of going to next year's NAHMO Conference which will be in the Forest of Dean over the first weekend in June.
Thanks Les (and Wendy) for the hospitality!
YE WHAT THEY SAID we also need to thank tony for suggesting it as we probably would'nt have got round to it as most of us are just lazy gits
Great weekend indeed. Big thumbs up to everyone that came. Even bigger thumbs up to Shan, Ade and Guy for driving.
Yes great weekend, sorry if I was a bit mouthy due to alcaholic intake.
T'was a fun weekend indeed. Thanks everyone! Don't worry about your mouthiness Doug, just stick around with me and I'll teach you everything you need to know about not being mouthy while on the wrong side of a couple of pints :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :S :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :side: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch: :pinch:
Better late than never, sorry.
It was a fabulous weekend, even the caving part of it! So a big thank you to all, including the Wessex, for great company, lots of laughs and a very enjoyable time - even the faggots and peas!!!
And as others have said, apologies for episodes of extreme gobbiness. I could blame my TWO PINTS of real alcohol PER DAY, but it would be untrue, no excuses, just a shithead sometimes!
Again, again. xxx
