Cambrian slate mine? Nice, easy, little damp. but good for a relaxing mooch.[hide]Or Wynn slate mine, nice, easy, mostly dry or both[/hide]
Don't know enough (milwr, poachers, nadolig, maeshafn (hoho I think not), pearl, spar), easy and roomy sounds ace but whatever.
Tell us what to do Tony, we can't do it without you!
Would anyone fancy a look in the dig at my place, Waen and Merllyn mine adit, now that I have this big hole I will have to do something with it.
I know it is not very extensive (yet) but I am going to have to spend a bit of time on it and would welcome any opinions.
I am out with Tim to Christmas cave but its an early one 9.0 am to 12.0 pm noon
Mike and I are considering a bit of re-bolting/rigging (with lots of SRT involved).
But to be honest, a mooch to dougs place sounds good too.
here is some info for Doug on Thursday night from BERNARD SMITHS book the collapse was 300 yrds from the
mouth of the adit and the dug a new level around it fro here for 60 yrds so suggest you measure the 300 yrds
and mark it come back from that point for 60 yrds and mark it then you will be able to see were you need to go,hope this helps Doug ,Mick
I'm up for a mooch at Doug's gaff.
Ant: the 2nd place you mentioned has been on my "must take a camera" to do list for years now. Fancy a weekend mooch there soon if you know your way 'round?

Sure, how is this weekend? I have a mornings booking at 10-11am on sat so the rest of the day is free.
Cheers Ant, Pretty busy this weekend I'm afraid, How are your fixed for a day next week maybe? busy Monday and Tuesday though...
All depends on what additional bookings I get for next week.
Cool, Keep me posted. If not, I'm free Sunday 12th Feb if that works better?
SORRY CANT MAKE IT THIS WEEK.
JUST A BIT OF INFO THOUGH. A NEW SINK HOLE HAS APPEARED ON THE SIDE OF THE RAOD BY ME. WERN ROAD BETWEEN RHOSESMOR AND RHES-Y-CAE. HAVEN'T HAD A CLOSE LOOK YET BUT IF YOU ARE PASSING MIGHT BE WORTH A VIEWING. UNITED UTILITIES WERE FENCING IT OFF TODAY. IF YOU DRIVE ALONG WERN ROAD YOU CANT MISS IT.
Cheers for the heads up Ade :)
I'll come over Doug. Can you please text me a time if it's not 6.30, cheers

(Have edited tonys first post to say the same).
Would probably go straight from work rather than home, but if you wanted a lift Tim with a reasonably early dart from the pub (11ish) I could swing by and pick you up if you like, and the same for anyone Holywell-ish. Getting off this thing now though so text me init x
