I will be over on the North York Moors for New Year's Eve but I am thinking of passing through Nenthead to see if anything is happening at the mines there on New Year's Day.  I don't know if any other UCET members will be up at Nenthead that weekend.

Greg.

OK,

thanks for that. Nent is a bit further than I was thinking of (coming from the South) but Mid or North Wales would be ace if anyone is about.

This sounds eminently doable Sweetie.

I'm off work Fri-Sat-Sun-Mon-Tue.

From another group of friends (OK, people I know) there is some vague discussion about having a RESPECTFUL - i.e. not like what's going on in the Bath stone mines involving mountains of litter and mass vandalism - new year's celebration, very low key at one of the derelict buildings in the vague Rhosydd / Cwmorthin direction.

Is anybody up for seeing in the new year from Moel Famau this year. I will be carrying firewood up as usual, if you fancy watching the fireworks from as far afield as Blackpool (sometimes) bring a log, get some excercise and have some fun.

The realization I'm not over this chest infection and walking to Rhosydd in the cold is best left for good health and summer.

Moel Famau it is, then.....
