Title: Sunday 3rd - North Wales
Post by: Philip Scott on Jul 02, 2016, 11:45 AM
Myself and a few friends (ok - people I know - before anyone says about not having any friends) from South Wales are planning a mooch probably to Rhosydd on Sunday.

All very vague at the moment but will likely be landing in the Cwmorthin car park around 10am... likely to be in the Lakeside Cafe beforehand.

No SRT involved.

If anyone is at a loose end.....

If anyone has better knowledge of the place than my own sketchy recollections and fancies playing Leader

Sorry but it is a bit short notice as I am going up to Nenthead Sunday before going over to Clapham to see the Miles Hillbillys play at the Bunkhouse Bar there.  I am joining the Nenthead Mines Conservation Trust which hopefully should get me easy access to the mines plus use of the bunkhouse there.  I would be great to share information about Nenthead with UCET.  I am free the next few Sundays and I am still definitely up for a Thursday evening trip on the 21st (I am on leave then!)

Managed to get plenty of information, Tim. Nenthead will be hosting a pre-Eurospeleo event from Saturday 6th to Saturday 13th of August http://eurospeleo.uk/about/pre-post-camps.php and during the weekend of the 6th and 7th of August there is a talk and mine trips including a winch down the 320' Brewery Shaft to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Vieille Montagne Zinc Company of Belgium's arrival in England. http://vieillemontagnehistory.com/anniversary/  I am attaching a photo of a list of events.
