Hi peeps.
I'm not gonna be out this week due to chest infection so putting out the feelers for your suggestions as to where you want to go this week.
Remember the Maeshafn sink hole? There are mines in the woods to the south. Anyone been there? Worth a look?
or
Also, I'm always happy to do a Rhyd y Foel Tri-mineathon (Llanddulas adit, Rhyd Y Foel Adit & Ogof Dulas) we can do all 3 in 1 evening if there are no other suggestions. Not very sporting though just 2 x single level adits and 1 x cave with a lower mined level.
or
Ffos y Bleiddiaid (Wolves Ditch) in Tan y Gopa Woods (I don't believe any of the club have seen this with the exception of myself and Tony S) I will bring my magic key with me ;)
I don't really care where the trip is, these are only suggestions
I don't mind as I'll be on the other side of the UK well, driving from the other side of the UK.
Well, as there are no takers, I'll make other plans...
Sorry for slow reply folk. Dropped my phone down the toilet yesterday so have stripped it down and left it in rice overnight and luckily it's still working.
Anyone up for Maeshafn area?
UCET THURS NIGHT TRIP 25TH FEB.
Sorry for slow update this week peeps (dropped my phone down the loo).
I won't be out this week as getting over chest infection so we have 2 options.
1 - Rhyd Alyn to check on possibility of avoiding the tight crawl at bottom of the ladders by installing more ladders further on.
Or
2 - Maeshafn Mines. In the woods opposite the sink holes fields there are a few mines which could be looked at.
Let me know which you'd prefer by the end of the day and I'll put that trip on with full details to follow.
Tony
There may be a 3rd option too which involves revisiting Bog Mine to check put the shaft that Doug spotted last just before the flooded section with the stemple step-overs.
