Are there any takers for our annual visit to the top of Moel Famau, to welcome in the new year from on high.
Anyone prepared to carry some wood for the bonfire would be appreciated, I was thinking of having it airlifted in, but have you seen how much it costs to hire a hellicopter, so we will have to carry it again.  :woohoo:
If we all carried 1 log each, we would have 20 logs,(if there were 20 of us).
would it be possible to drive a quad bike up there you could get 2 sacks on it and surley one of you farmers must have one as they do not use sheep dogs much these days.

We could go up in Tims landy if
a) we got permission
b) if it was not broken
I will "probably" be wandering up with Guy this year .....

The gates will be locked, and the Ranger would get us.

I will look into it  watch this space
I'm walking up from my house - so will meet you up there. Leaving here about 10pm if anyone wants to leave a car here and walk that way with me (its not 'that' much longer that parking at the saddle, honest!)
Unless the weather is properly minging I intend sleeping up there (bivi bag or one man tent) because i want to get some 'dawn' photos from up there.
If anyone is passing my place on the way down (or up) and fancies popping in for a beer please come and join us.
If not Have a very Happy New Year and stay warm Tim, you must be mad
forecast is for wet, and cloud, so not sure about tim's photography plans

Would love to but will be stood outside a pub, sober as a judge, waiting for the fight to start? :(
I pussied out! - It got to 10pm and I glanced out at the weather and i just stayed on the vodka and cokes in front of the telly. My excuse? Well, I had a three mile walk from home rather than a short walk from the carpark. Its a poor excuse but the only bloody one i've got and i'm sticking with it!
I will see you all (whoever's going) at the Oak today at 13:00.
