My Rainbow
The rainbow disturbed the susceptible sky
Spanning the jagged terrain
And I wanted to see, what a rainbow can see
So a plan starts to form, in my brain
Then I travelled, to where the rainbow was born
Crossing the coarse jagged land
Then I slipped inside at the orange,
And climbed up the greenish band
So I climbed for an hour or two,
Between the yellow and green
Till I got to the top, and now I can say,
I have seen what a rainbow has seen
I climbed out onto the blue band,
Where the land was laid out, below
I could see all the fields and the roadways
And mountains covered in snow
But it’s cold out there on the blue,
So I went back to yellow inside
I panicked a bit when it started to rain,
In case the rainbow should hide
I don’t think rainbows like to get wet,
So what would happen to me
If the rainbow dissolved away,
It would leave me in freefall you see
So, quick as I could, I jumped on the slope,
And slid back down on the red
Then, just as I hit the ground,
I awoke, wide awake, in my bed
