that looks mined ant. Is it for drainage? Did you follow it to the end? where did the water go?

it is Tim, it's the old level I mentioned trying to find on Facebook. the actual adit mouth is about 100m away (where the river re-emerges). but it's all too wet to go look. (especially in normal clothes)
