Directions
Make your way to the sewage works at Cilcain and park in the woodland recess just before the road terminates. Walk along the road to the end (by the sewage works building) and pop into the woodland to join the footpath. Take the footpath that heads back on yourself but also heads UPWARDS (not the one that stays low) and the mine adit is on your right 100-200 feet up there (ish).

Flood risk
It is flooded to around 1 foot in depth but the water is escaping notwithstanding the entrance is mostly blocked.

A trial adit. 99% Featureless.

Description
The entrance is a tight squeeze but could easily be dug to enlarge.

Once in, an adit appears to view which is around 1 foot deep with water and which enters the hillside for around 50 feet.

Apart from the birth of some formations at the rear, this adit is featureless.
