Title: What makes you do it?

In response to the usual "Why do you do it" questions I seem to be accumulating Swiss Toni style analogies about mine exploring......, are there any more out there? Mine exploring is like pursuing a beautiful woman because...

The most alluring ones are usually dangerously unstable

The forbidden ones are even more tempting

Often, for reasons you can't explain, you are repeatedly drawn back to the fruitless basketcase that's a maze of dead ends and roof falls, in the hope of finding something that isn't there

Like a one night stand, its not until you have probed the treasures below that you realise the full extent of danger or likelihood of becoming trapped and want to GET OUT FAST!

Sometimes, the ones that sound really exciting turn out to be a bit of a disappointment

It's always a matter of pride to enter new ground

Everyone pretends they don't enjoy the really dirty ones.....

In fairness I have always been the first to admit that I like the dirty ones. But i guess I have no shame.

Having something to moan about makes the trip. There's nothing like a hard slog through chest deep shit :)

the trouble with mines is the vein and passages are to close together and I always end up digging in the back

I loved that squeeze so much that I dropped back through and did it again. Lovely!  :lol:

nothing beats penetrating a moist tight mucky passage. Even better when theres a few of you all squeezing in together.
