Title: Llechwedd - Hidden Gems
Post by: Robin Jones on Jan 18, 2014, 07:14 AM
If the "inquisitive worker" who went "walkabout" was one of our brethren, is he going to be rewarded for initiating the £140,000 development and creating 8 jobs?
AND YET ANOTHER ZIP WIRE!!
It's the guy from zip world in Bethesda that's building the zip wires in llechwedd.

quite what would possess someone to build an almost identical zip wire in another slate quarry 30 odd miles away from the original, i do not know...

Free money that's what, lots grants available if you know here to look, interestingly both places are not in the national park so easy to get planning etc. and also access to the grants.
Probably fairly high promise of jobs as well
And the promise of 'sustainable tourism' which is what the buzz words are at the mo!
