Title: 2014 BCA Insurance Renewal
Post by: Ian A on Jan 16, 2014, 01:17 PM
I forgot to mention ....

At the beginning of this week I submitted our insurance renewal documentation to the BCA (your green cards) for those of us who are insured through UCET (ie. not insured through other clubs).

I am aware that, at the last AGM, it was resolved that this would be done bang on the end of December but, as so many members were late, it was decided to "hang on" a little longer.

That said, a significant number still have not renewed but it was unreasonable to continue to wait (our grace period with the BCA was fast running out in any event) and I have therefore submitted the paperwork anyway.

A complete list of paid-up members can be found in the relevant section of the private members forum as well as a list of those not renewing, pending or where there has been no contact to my requests.

I expect the green cards to be with us shortly but it is, of course, a busy time for the BCA secretary.

 :)

Andy,

I have now emailed the BCA secretary for your card and attended to the paperwork (which is in the post to him).

Just to allay any fears you may have; The moment you paid the club your subs you were “covered”. This is a BCA directive and manifests because the BCA purchase a “block policy” which the clubs buy into for their members (which is why we all pay the same amount). Since the insurance policy already exists and since you had paid your share of the premium, you were covered regardless of whether you had your green card or not.

Your BCA number will also remain the same.

Sorry again for the mix up …. I hold my head in shame and dangle beads of embarrassment from my eyelids.

:S
