I have just joined as a new member and wish to say "hello" to all :)
My current interests are in the slate mines of North Wales, especially Cwmorthin in which I hope to see some areas a bit more off the beaten track. I have a general interest in both geology and industrial history and have been doing underground trips for a few years now mainly in slate mines, although some South Wales caves too.
Am also involved in a dig in a hearthstone mine in Surrey most weekends, and hope to come to North Wales more often than I do.
Should have a holiday scheduled for sometime in May in North Wales so hope to join up then :)
Welcome to the forum. Give us some notice of when you're in the area and we'll get a trip sorted out. We're a very friendly bunch :woohoo:
