Hi Everyone
Before I arrange a trip for Thursday I've heard rumblings of a possible trip to OHA on Thursday and i believe murf is going to look at the dig in Maeshafn.
Anyone know anything about either of these?
OHA is dependent on Tim been able to swim to shore.
The potential OHA trip is to set the siphons running for the Sunday trip :) That's all I know, Tim has said he will keep us informed on his situation and therefore whether the trip will go ahead or not.
Tom (TLH)
I've just moved the OHA trip from private to public. Theres a bit more info in there now.
I'm still on the rig - (should have been home last week) and its thick fog again today so no flying. A best it will be thursday morning before I get home as things stand at the moment. The worst of it is that i'm due to fly back out here on tuesday so only going to get about 5 days at home in 6 weeks! :-(
Mike Leahy can't make thursday to start the sumps (with/without me) and neither can he make the main weekend trip so in his absence and with my situation, and with the forecast/conditions being a bit on the risky side flood wise i think it might be wise to postpone it - i'll pick another date and move it.
So Thursday. Murfs dig might be a suggestion - quite fancy that myself if i get back home in time coz i can nip out for a bit and then come back and spend the eve with the missus.
Okay so it looks like it's murf's dig again this week. Same time same place.
Should anyone fancy anything else, I'm happy to go have a mooch about in spar mine or nadolig....but let me know if that's the case.
Is the Spar mine still rigged?
I'm sure someone said last week that the water level in spar mine had dropped some more so because of that it gets my vote

I'm not sure but I'll find out
I'll be out on Thursday, but may be a little late, depending if I can swap my shift for an earlier finish.
sparmine ...bring your srt kits if you want to play or just general mooch
has the spar mine got ropes in or just the hardware rigging
Swapped my shift so I'll be there for 6.30. Are we parking the far end of Royal Oak car park?
Swapped my shift so I'll be there for 6.30. Are we parking the far end of Royal Oak car park?
yup far end just pop in to see Mr Tomos and let him know your parking up ...i'll be a tad late as i'm coming from betws.
i won't be anywhere - well i will but it'll be the middle of the f'ing north sea which classes as nowhere!
stir crazy now!
Is anyone helping/in touch with Murf? Might be a shame to leave him all alone?
Weather will be nice and i will be at the dig, the new one, same place, i will be taking half a day off work as i was excited last week with a small draught i need to get over there early as the amount of rain we have had may have opened it up or silted itm i there for in tend to step it down with small raised terraces with a view to holding silt at each step but allowing the water to spill over slowly.
good man mick - hopefully someone will turn up to help you. Won't be me though again i'm afraid. :-(
I'm so sorry I never made it tonight, spent more time on motorways in traffic today than I did in meetings :-(
Didn't get home until gone 8pm - though I shouldn't complain as some of us can't get home at all at the moment - Tim
I tried to contact a few of you so I hope someone got my messages x
Tim is Home.
I feel your pain with the motorways though, today i've been stuck on the M56, M6, M60, M61, M62 and M55, then to top it all off, i got radiated in a nuclear fuels plant! I now glow in the dark.
Nightmare
the water level in spar mine has dropped to about 30-40 ft below the 3 ladder chamber. Can't get into the lower level yet though.
Not to worry Vikki. We kind of assumed you'd got back too late to make it worth your while.
Tonight was Marty, Lotti (Go Below), Ant and myself. Marty kindly rigged up the Spar Mine for us to rejog our SRT. Ant and I went to check the water level and it has dropped a good 15-20 feet since I last visited with my Dad a few months ago. Ant took some pics of water level which I'm sure he'll post up.
Thanks again to Marty for rigging/derigging and help with SRT.
