So You're all in trouble now...
I do still need to get the full license back, but now that insurance is down to a sane price, I should be out and about more, providing I can find willing vict... sorry... volunteers, to endure the passenger seat from hell while I inflict myself upon the roads of the UK again.
Anyone laughing at a 6'3" bloke getting out of a pokey little 1L Suzuki in puke yellow, will get to find out if the engine is powerful enough to run over their prostrate body... a few times...
top stuff Mate, about time too..
Indeed it is, but Insurance quotes were fucking insane until this year. Anything bigger is still batshit crazy, so I'm hoping a year in this will bring them down.
As it is, the engine is sweet enough for what it is, and if the colour really pisses me off, my mate owns a bodyshop. Worringly, I have found out that apparently, the Swift (G13B?) engine drops straight in....
It stands me at £245 all in though, so I suppose I can't bitch too much though.
not worth painting or putting an engine in, just drive it till it dies, that's why I got the mazda, park it anywhere and just drive it till it dies.
You're totally right... but I love to tinker, so although I won't do anything with it that won't add value if I sell it, I do like to see what could be done.
It is getting a decent light put in the boot for getting changed though. Imagine the surprise on if I sell it on, and the new owner get's a face full of Cree XM-L when they open the boot.
if your putting one of those LED's in the boot are you going to leave the boot open to use it as a reversing light ;)
1000lumen spotlight for getting naked at the back of your car? - you going caving or dogging fella?? haha
I'm not after dogging, but caving? That's for perverts!  ;)
Mine exploring, now that's sensible :P
So, I cleaned it. It looks merely awful, rather than fucking awful now. Many flies lost the valiant battle with the bumper.
After a few caving trips it will be back to 'fcuking awful' ;-). I don't even bother washing mine now coz every Thursday its caked in more cack.
I honestly doubt it's ever been properly washed in all it's 13 years. I suspect trips will upgrade it to Minging rather than fucking awful...
I was worried the dirt was holding bits together though.
This thread reminds me of something...................................... :woohoo:

Roy Chubby Brown made a song, *just* for You... :P ;)

I'm just setting up the new PC, when it's done, that picture is so getting photoshopped (badly)
I demand Chariot Spikes on the Wheels!
And flamethrowers... maybe a machine gun... Auto-tracking Radar that detects Empire Builders?
if it was mine, I would rat look it, some big deepdoish wheels, lowered as low as I could get it, then I would set to the body work with shit stickers and sand paper.
Her Ladyship has a big say in this, so it has to stay this side of sane.
My *personal* preference... Matt Black. Always done it to crap cars/bikes, looong before it became fashionable. Bonus points for hand-brushing it on. Alloy's are worth more than the car, so not happening. All I want is an offside window, and maybe a passenger door if I see one cheap. HEad unit cage and harness adaptor ordered (still less than an tenner). Will need to invest in some speakers, (nothing but wires for them behind the grilles, never seen that before) but those will be £20 tops. Headunit I have already, so I'll still be under £300, all in.
I just keep thinking of this every time I read this thread

That's it. Painting it black and putting beemer badges on it. That'll fool everyone.
I had a brief moment of sanity, and decided not to put an XM-L in the boot. I've since taken my pills, regret this, and "normal" service will be resumed shortly.
I did however, chuck a bit of 12v white strip in there. Wiring is... messy (but functional and safe), but given the car, I'm not going to get that fussy. Easily removable too.
This, in a cool white.

nowt wrong with it ,i drove it ok .ali,s clutch control was a bit hit or miss thou :woohoo:
Aye, it's been a while since I was in a Manual. Still, had it down the industrial estate and it shouldn't take long to get it back.
