I'm entering the 2013 Northwest event on Sat 5th October.
Any UCET peeps fancy doing it? We can register a team.

I had every intention to enter, but i just cant run, i get serious shin splints and knee pain after only a mile now, the more i tried to run, the quicker the pain starts
yes I will as long as Dylan does and he carries me.
I will do it if I'm fit enough at the time.

get signed in and registered right now by following above link
team name is ucet and the password is underground
Dan - you can come and take photos :-)
I'm tempted as long as someone in the team knows CPR.
It's not as hard as it looks. I did last years and the only thing I found difficult was dealing with the cold.
get signed up everyone it'll be a crackin day. Real men don't get stuck OR feel the cold Dylan. :-P xx
Dan - you can come and take photos :-)
i would actually be tempted to do that. i'm really disapointed i cant take part, but i tried everything, decent shoes, running on grass, anti inflammatorys, just got worse and worse
I'm tempted, though it will likely half-kill me, but I have no idea about costs. I get the impression it's not cheap.
about £100

£75
but theres a £10 discount code floating about on facebook.
but the money does go to i think "help the heros"
plus there an additional registration fee and then a insurance charge on top - works out abiout a ton.
I've paid up - what about the rest of you? come on - if i can do it anyone can.
My drummers doing it too.
Maybe next year. Fitness aside, I'm getting myself back on the road, and can't afford it. No Jag's either... crappy little 1.0 Suzuki.
incidently, i fopr some reason put the topic as 2014 event - of course, i meant 2013 event! i am stoopid!
I'll be doing it Tim but not going to sign up until closer to the date.
Ok, I'm all registered and paid up. Come on the rest of ya.
right - think its....
Tim
Tony
Dylan
Mike
Mike, you still up for it? want me to sort your entry for you?
Do we want to camp over afterwards? Theres an after party, bbq, beers and live music....? Its £12 per person per night for camping.
Hurry up and confirm coz price goes up an extra £5 in a few days time!
I'll be doing it Tim but not going to sign up until closer to the date.
you gonna get the missus to drag you round the course again??
Mr Chairman - u want me to sort out your entry or what?
Is it ok if I invite a couple of friends from work as they're interested in doing it again?
course it is fella. UCET team name :-)
Remember - camping over afterwards for the afterparty too :-)
Right I've just signed up. Now to put some effort into getting fit.
I'm out this year, chose a sunny holiday over dredging through mud with you lot, sorry.
Tim - if Sarah's next year then I will do it too
Vic - boo! you're flippin' useless! :-P
I think Vikki should go round twice next year then. ;)
For those of you in the UCET Tough Mudder Team with me a week on Saturday.
Our start time has been confirmed as 10:15am. Its £10 parking per car (so i'll take as many as possible in landy from North Wales to save cash)
I was re-reading the details, my assumption that the 'after-party' was an all nighter might not actually be the case - it kinda looks like it will all be over by 5:30pm so maybe we'd be better off just heading home later in the afternoon after we've had a few pints rather than camping?
my woman will probably come as a spectator
Right, heres a bit of a plan then. I'll be leaving my place (CH7 5EL) at 08:00 (Tony can you pick up Mike and get to my place for then?), at 8:30 we'll stop at the Twirl of Hay pub near chester CH3 5QJ) to pick up Simon Williams + co.) Dylan what do you lot want to do? (landy seats 9 in total so theres three seats free by my reckoning.

Who wants a bright yellow UCET team tough mudder t-shirt for the event - with you name across the back. Can you let me know asap? - think it'll be about £15 a piece to get printed.

And finally - its £3 to bag drop near the start - and don't forget to bring waiver sheet signed and passport or drivers license coz they need official photo ID.
Mike, sarahs coming over with the kids too in seperate car so if you wanna bring chris to ours with you in the morning we can all go in the landy and chris can go with sarah slightly later (but still in time for our start) if she likes?
for those of you doing tough mudder they have now released a map of the course in case youve not seen it.

cheers sean - yer i have been studying it - piece of piss compared to 19 hours in OHA last week
Yeah I've been having a good look at it , I just wanted to know where that artic enema was and the electric bits, I think they are going to provide the biggest comedy moments.
The last obstacle electroshock therapy is the funniest. It dropped me like a sack of spuds twice last year.

I've seen plenty videos on YouTube it looks amazingly funny, it looks like they are being hit with a police tazer. Does it only drop you if it hits your legs or just any sort of body contact?
Any part of your body. The voltage changes on all the wires constantly so you don't know which ones will shock you. I got hit by a powerful one and I just went limp and dropped.
Plans for tomorrow?
I'll meet everyone there. What are people doing after?
u not get my email (s)?
thought u were coming here with your mates for 8 - but thats fine - can meet there. don't forget photo id!
